Cork Voted Man of the Match vs West Brom

Swansea City’s newest signing Jack Cork was your chosen man of the match in the 2-0 defeat at West Brom last Wednesday.

The midfielder, who signed from Southampton during the January transfer window, won our fans’ man of the match poll in only his second game for the Swans, after making his debut in the 1-1 draw against Sunderland.

Cork received 33% of the votes, slightly ahead of Jefferson Montero with 25%, and Ashley Williams in 3rd place with 16%.

Cork contributed to Swansea’s domination of possession at the Hawthorns but it counted for nothing as Monk’s side struggled to create any decent chances on goal.

Pulis’ side proved to be very difficult to break down before stepping up their game in the second half to score twice to take a vital three points to improve their survival hopes.

In our new poll, we want to know what you think the result will be on Saturday when Swansea City host Manchester United. The Red Devils are now 19 games unbeaten, so it would be quite an achievement if they managed to end that run, as well as doing the double of van Gaal’s side after their opening day win at Old Trafford.
