Swansea City’s on loan defender is hoping to recover from his injury in time to play against Manchester United at home on November 19th.

The 19 year-old Tottenham Hotspur defender has been out of action since the Arsenal game six weeks ago after suffering a knee injury.

Caulker has recently returned to light training and he told BBC Sport that he could return in two weeks, but is unlikely to make it back for the Liverpool game on November 5th:

‘I want to get myself back in full training in the lead up to the Manchester United game. I want to be pushing hard for that one,’

‘I spoke with Ledley [King], who has had a lot of recurring knee injuries over the years,”

‘I think it made me realise that as a 19-year-old I shouldn’t rush back before I was fully recovered just in case.

‘I’m ahead of schedule with my recovery and I could probably push myself to get back in two weeks.

‘But I want to make sure it’s right for the long term.

‘With another week or two rehab under my belt that will take me up to the recommended nine weeks recovery period.’
