Leon Britton is set to make his 300th performance for Swansea City tomorrow and he has rubbished speculation that he is leaving the club.

There has been rumours circulating over the Summer that the midfielder was unsettled at the Liberty Stadium and wanted to move closer to his family in London.

Britton has given the fans a boost by declaring that there’s no truth whatsoever in the rumour, he told Wales Online:

“I don`t know where it`s all come from,”

“I`ve heard it myself, I`ve had people ringing me and texting me asking about transfer requests and not being settled and I`m not really sure why.

“It`s all very wide of the mark.”

“It`s always hard to know what will happen,” said Britton, on whether he could see himself staying a Swan for another 300 games.

“I`ve got 12 months left on my contract but, to be honest, the focus is on these next few games we have coming up as it always is.

“When I first came here, I don`t think I could have thought that six years down the line I`d still be here.”

Leon Britton has proved to be a superb professional in his 6 years at the cluband his consistency and quality has made him a big favourite amongst the fans.
