Swansea’s home form is vital to any promotion push was the message from Leon Britton today as he Spoke ahead of the of the game vs Doncaster Rovers on saturday.

Swansea will hoping to chalk up the first home win of the season on Saturday against a Doncaster Rovers side who have conceded 6 goals in three games.

Britton has no disillusions that so far this season Swansea should have capitalised on the dominance as shown in every area of the pitch.

Britton
Told BBC Sport:

‘We were looking to pick up a home win against Forest and we didn’t do it.’

It was similar with Reading. We played a lot of good football, but just didn’t break them down and get the goal.’

“Home form is really important. If you want to do well in a campaign, you want to make sure you try and win all your home games and pick up points on the road.”

We’ve had two blanks at the Liberty Stadium so hopefully we can put that right on Saturday.’

The former West Ham trainee’s sentiments were immediately echoed by his manager Roberto Martinez. Roberto also has again reiterated that he will not be rushed into any new signings before the transfer window closes at midnight tomorrow night.

Martinez
Told BBC Sport:

‘What is important is to carry on with the level of performance we’ve shown and if we do that you cannot ask anything more of the players.’

After that, results will follow.’

When there’s a deadline, sometimes it doesn’t help with negotiations to bring people in, we’re not going to rush.’

The Club will be looking to add a goalkeeper before the deadline closes tomorrow. Not to sign a keeper would be a huge oversight by the club and leave Martinez in a very precarious situation should Dorus De Vries sustain an injury or pick up suspensions.
