Ferrie Bodde is making positive process after having an operation on his knee 3 weeks ago

Swansea City head physio suffered a gruelling time visiting and returning home from Holland thanks to Volacanic ash, but she came back with positives news regarding Bodde’s latest knee injury.

After queuing 8 hours for a Eurostar ticket, she eventually returned to South Wales and told the Official Site:

‘Everything is going better than expected,”

‘I met Ferrie, his consultant and rehabilitation specialist and they are all happy with the progress.

‘His surgeon is also confident that the rest of his knee looked good and saw no reason why his rehabilitation shouldn’t go well.

‘We had to wait a bit longer than expected for Ferrie to go under the surgeon’s knife because they wanted the swelling to go down in order to maximise the success of the operation.

‘Ferrie also had a chest infection for a while, so it was too dangerous to operate.

‘He is still on crutches, but he is in his usual good spirits. He’s got a long haul ahead of him, so all we can do at the moment is set him short-term goals.

‘It’s too early to give a definite date for his return because nine months is the normal rehab time.

‘At the moment we will be looking for him to start straight-line running in three months time before assess things again after that.”

Many feared his season was over in February when he failed for the second time to return and recover from his knee injury, hopefully this time it’ll be third time lucky.
