Fede Bessone says he’s feeling ‘100 per cent’ and is ready for the remaining 3 games of the season, and potentially more if we finish in the play-offs.

The Spanish left back has been out of action for two months because of an ankle injury, but he told the Evening Post how returning home to see his family has helped him during his recovery.

‘I rested for a month because I couldn’t do anything,’

‘I tried to run after a month and it wasn’t good ? I still felt pain.

‘But I went back home to Spain to forget my problems. I was around my family and it was good to recharge my batteries.

‘It was something I needed to do as back here all the boys were training and playing, but I couldn’t do anything.

‘I told the gaffer a few days back home would do me good. The weather wasn’t too good ? it rained a bit.

‘But it freshened up my mind and now I am determined to play a part in the play-off run-in. My family and friends helped me disconnect from everything.

‘I came home and I could run without any problems, so I’m very happy now,’

‘I trained very hard on Tuesday. That was my first real session back with the squad, but I already feel 100 per cent.’
