Jason Scotland’s agent Mike Berry says he expects the striker to join Wigan Athletic.

Swansea City looks let to lose their top goalscorer who has scored 53 goals in two seasons at the Liberty Stadium.

Former manager Roberto Martinez has made an official bid for the 30 year-old in which the Swans are carefully considering this week.

Berry told the Hull Daily Mail that Hull City have enquired about the player, but he will snub the Tigers to join the Latics.

‘I spoke to Brian Horton and he asked me what the bottom-line price would be for Jason,’

‘I said I thought a fee of £2million would probably be enough to get him in.

‘My belief was that he’d be ideal for Hull, but I expect the Wigan deal to go ahead now.’

Wigan’s bid for Scotland is undisclosed but it is speculated to be around £1.5m up front plus further add-on payments.
