Arwyn Jones tells us his views on a number of topics including Leroy Lita, Danny Graham, Ferrie Bodde and his predicted finish next season.

Watching the Barcelona vs Bayern game, I heard Swansea City being mentioned, and that’s when I realised, we really are in the big time.

Having being linked with many players it looks like Lita is now set to sign for us. Many fans don’t rate him highly but personally with his experience in the Premier League, it could turn out to be very valuable for Swansea. Now his goalscoring record may not be that good while playing in the Premiership for Reading but he did score a respectful 10 goals in 12 games in the 2006-07 season.

The signing of Danny Graham was no surprise if I’m honest. If being named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year wasn’t enough he scored a magnificent 24 goals for Watford in the 2010-11 Season (33 in 84 appearances in his Watford career). The championship top scorer last season signed soon after The Swans won the play-off final at Wembley for a club record of £3.5million after Watford rejected a £2.5million bid from QPR for the striker.

I’m very pleased to be seeing the Swansea City youngsters signing in the pre-season games. Kurtis March, Jazz Richards, Shaun Macdonald, Joe Allen and new loanee Steven Caulker all making great impressions and showed they are willing to compete for a 1st team spot.

With pre-season nearly at an end, you can feel the excitement and nervousness at the Liberty Stadium. Even though many people have written us off before a game has been played, many teams are relishing the opportunity to play ‘The Welsh Barcelona’.

The playing style and passing ability at Swansea is what most teams will be worrying about. With Ferrie Bodde now fit for the season it’s like we have a totally new signing. His fantastic passing and his control in midfield is would be an asset to any team, but thankfully its for Swansea City.

Where do I find us finishing this Season? Ill be honest, a top 10 finish is unlikely but I do see us staying up, finishing 14-16th.
