Ashley Williams says it’s the worst time to play Sheffield United following the departure of manager Gary Speed – who has been appointed as the new Wales boss.

Despite The Blades’ struggling start to the season, Williams believes it’s not a good time to be travelling to Bramall Lane this weekend as a team usually improves shortly after a manager departs.

The Swans will be looking to extend their unbeaten away run to 7 games, having won 5 of the last 6.

‘It’s the worst time to play against them,’

‘Everyone knows that when you lose a manager or get a new manager it brings the squad together and they dig deep and try to impress people.’

Williams also spoke about the prospect of facing former team mate Leon Britton:

‘It will be funny to see him in a different kit,’

‘He’s a great lad, but at the end of the day this is business and we’ll be going there to get the win and have a laugh afterwards although I’m sure there’ll be a bit of banter during the game.’
