Swansea City are close to completing the permanent signing of Stockport County defender Ashley Williams.

It is believed the fee will be £350,000 to make the Welsh International’s loan spell permanent.

Also close to signing a new deal is Spanish striker Guillem Bauza.

Manager Roberto Martinez commented on the situations of both players and told BBC Sport:

(On Williams) ‘Negotiations are well down the line and we need to finalise a few things with Stockport and see where we are after that,’

‘Bussy is just a matter of finalising a few details,’

‘He has made it very clear he wants to play his football with Swansea City and we’ve seen him developing over the last 10 months in a fantastic way.

‘He is a legend already in our history by scoring those two fantastic goals against Gillingham and he’s one we are looking for a long future with Swansea City.’

How did you think Ashley Williams performed during his loan spell? Will he be a good signing?
