West Ham have agreed a fee of around £20m for Andre Ayew
West Ham United have moved a step closer to signing Andre Ayew after agreeing a fee with Swansea City for the forward.
Sky Sports are reporting that the deal is worth £20m, but insist that the Swans won’t progress with the deal until they have secured a second striker signing, following Friday’s arrival of Fernando Llorente from Sevilla. Atletico Madrid`s Borja Baston has been strongly linked with a move to the Swans, and Ayew`s move to the Hammers would easily cover the cost of the 2 strikers, with plenty of change left over.
Ayew could complete his move by as early as Sunday if Swansea can bring in another striker by then. That seems somewhat unlikely at this stage though.
Sky Sports reports:
The deal is worth £20m and Ayew will have a medical this weekend.
Sky Sports News HQ also understands Swansea will only finalise the deal if they sign another striker following the arrival Fernando Llorente.
