Watford have told Swansea City that striker Danny Graham is not for sale, after they made an enquiry about the player.

The Daily Star linked the Swans with a £600,000 bid for Graham, but the Hornets insist that he’s not for sale.

Swansea City need to strengthen their forward line after our struggle last season for goals, and Graham has attracted the interest of manager Paulo Sousa.

Graham scored 14 goals in 37 starts last season and he seems like the sort of striker we need to improve our forward line.

He joined Watford on a free last Summer after an excellent spell at Carlisle United where he netted 29 goals in 78 starts. Despite the ‘free’ transfer, they were ordered to pay Carlisle £200,000, plus £30,000 every 15 appearances up until 75. £200,000 would also have to be paid if they won promotion next season, so the Swans would probably need to bid closer to £1million to interest Watford in selling one of their key assets.
