Swansea City goalkeeper Michel Vorm has rubbished rumours linking him with a big move to another Premier League club.

One of the club’s directors – John van Zweden told the Dutch press that the fellow Dutchman had attracted interested from some big clubs in the same League as the Swans, including Spurs and Manchester United.

Vorm’s agent ruled out such interest, and the player himself has also confirmed that he has had no thoughts about a potential departure so soon after joining the club at the beginning of the season.

Vorm said:

“I think if you do well in the Premier League maybe some clubs will follow you, but for me it’s not an issue.

‘I love it here at Swansea. I’m enjoying my time and I haven’t really thought about it (leaving). My focus is on Swansea.

“The main thing for me is to maintain my form throughout the whole season and to stay up with Swansea.

“For me it’s quite new and quite special what’s happened. For a goalkeeper it’s very hard to fit in when you come to the Premier League.

‘But for me the team is very important, the way we play. I think if I played at somewhere like Stoke City it would be quite difficult for me to fit in.

‘If the team is good, I will play much better.’

Vorm says he’s enjoying his time working with Brendan Rodgers at Swansea City:

“We are one of the few clubs trying to play from the back which is very important.

‘Also there’s the way we train. I love working with Brendan Rodgers. Those kind of things are important to me. My feeling is very good at Swansea.

‘It’s not like I’d never change teams, but at the moment Swansea suits me the best.’
