Swansea City are waiting for the arrival of midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, as duo Ben Davies and Michel Vorm have all but completed moves to Spurs.

The two clubs finally agreed on a swap deal involving all three players, with Davies and Vorm joining Spurs, while Swansea would receive former loanee Gylfi Sigurdsson and a small fee in the region of £2.5-5m.

Although it’s effectively a swap, it’s reported that each transfer will be a seperate deal, with Ben Davies and Sigurdsson valued the same, and the small fee effectively being paid for Vorm’s services.

Davies has been pictured in a Spurs training session, while Vorm has already spoken about his move to White Hart Lane. Swansea City are expected Sigurdsson to complete a medical today.

Everything should be confirmed by the end of the day, but these things tend to take some time – especially when it comes to the Swans.

It appears that the vast majority of fans will be delighted to see Gylfi’s return, judging from our current poll.

  • Sems like a good deal all around. We get the left back we’ve been shouting for for at least three seasons and a second ‘keeper of genuine quality. The Swans get an excellent player who was badly underused at Spurs (and a couple of million on top).
