Swansea City midfielder Cedric Van Der Gun has been given a one year extension after meeting the terms of a clause in his contract
According to the Evening Post, the Dutchman played 15 games last season which has triggered an automatic 1-year extension, rather than the player or the club allowed to have any refusal on the extension.
The 31 year-old has showed potential in his first year at the club and he arrived with plenty of promise, but some fans are far from convinced that he has enough ability to be a first team regular for us.
You can’t doubt his commitment and effort for the team, and when he’s on form he can cause problems with his pace and skill down the wing but injuries and a lack of consistency have prevented him from getting a good run in the first team at the Liberty Stadium.
