Championship side Blackpool have given winger Tom Ince permission to join a Premier League club on loan

Championship side Blackpool have given winger Tom Ince permission to join a Premier League club on loan.

Sky Sports sources believe that Swansea City are in ‘pole position’ to land the England under-21 international before Friday’s transfer window deadline.

Tom Ince may well have played his final game for the Seasiders after being left out of Saturday’s squad that drew with Doncaster Rovers.

A Blackpool club statement said:

‘Following discussions with Thomas Ince and his representative, permission has been given for Thomas to discuss a loan move to a Premier League club.

‘Thomas has expressed his ambition to play in the Premier League for the remainder of the season, a decision that the Club fully understands and supports.’

Tom Ince is set to go out on loan to the Premier League for the rest of the season before his contract expires in June. Swansea won’t be the only top flight club hoping to secure his signature though, and they’ll face stiff competition to bring him to the Liberty Stadium this month – if only temporarily.
