Swansea City opened their Holland Tour with a 2-1 defeat against Stormvogels Telstar.

There was more bad news for Roberto Martinez as Garry Monk left the pitch after jjust 38 minutes with an ankle injury.

Ferrie Bodde (dead-leg), Jason Scotland (calf) and Darryl Duffy (stomach) all missed the game because of injuries.

Telstar took the lead after 26 minutes. Bruin’s header came off the post, rebounded off De Vries and went into the net.

Ivory Coast trialist Doba Lezou was unimpressive. He was nearly at fault for conceding a goal when Pinas took advantage of a poor back header. De Vries did well though to deny a chance for Telstar to double their lead.

The Swans made a better start to the second half as Paul Anderson assisted Kristian O’Leary’s equaliser.

With 2 minutes remaining, Brahim Aoulad-Lfadil scored the home side’s winner from close range.

Swans (first-half): De Vries, Rangel, Doba, Monk (Tate 38mins), Austin, Allen, Pratley, Robinson, Britton, MacDonald, Bauza.

Swans (second-half): De Vries, Tate, Painter, Lawrence, Watt (Evans 80), O’Leary, Collins, Anderson, Craney, Morgan, Bauza.
