Swansea City open their 2017/18 Premier League home campaign in the lunchtime kick off today as they entertain Manchester United at the Liberty Stadium (12.30pm, Live on Sky Sports).

After some major spending during the Summer, Jose Mourinho will be expected to guide the Red Devils to a much better league finish after a lowly 6th last year. Many believe they are now genuine title contenders, as their opening 4-0 thrashing against West Ham suggests that they`re no longer a side that struggle to turn draws into wins.

The Swans, meanwhile, will want to put on a better display at home after a defensive and rather negative performance saw them gain a well-earned point at Southampton last weekend.

They`ll know though that they won`t be able to allow so many shots on their goal, with the Saints creating 18 chances, plus another 11 shots blocked, but they weren`t accurate in front of goal, with just 2 of those efforts stinging the hands of Lucasz Fabianski.

Following the game we’ll bring you the usual match reactions, report, player ratings and analysis.

Swansea City Team News:

Leon Britton is an injury doubt so Roque Mesa could make his debut, despite Paul Clement admitting that he needs time to adjust to the pace of the Premier League, after giving his reasons as to why he didn`t use him off the bench at St Mary`s.

Elsewhere, no other changes are expected, as the game comes too early for Fernando Llorente to feature, after returning to full training on Monday.
