Swansea City Defender Alan Tate will be out of action for 6 weeks with a Fractured Knee Cap.
Tate picked up a knock against Walsall in the 1st round of the Carling Cup on the 13th of August. He has seemed to have aggravated this injury and has caused a fracture in the Knee Cap.
Swansea City Defender
Told BBC Sport:
|“I know what it is now and hopefully after the six weeks I’ll have a few games in the reserves and then try and get back in the first team with the rest of the lads.’|
Roberto Martinez also was quick to speak out about loosing one of his key players.
|“You cannot keep Alan out of training or playing and he really had to stay out,’ he said.|
We knew there was something wrong and to be fair it could have been worse.
Six weeks with Alan will be five so I’m looking forward to getting him back quickly.’ ‘
Angel Rangel has fitted in well in Tate’s prefered position at RB and could see him move into the centre of defence to ease Martinez’s defensive headaches.
