Pelle from Svenskafans.com gives us a little insight into his feelings about events at the Liberty Stadium.

Pelle Nillson is one of the masterminds behind the Swansea City’s svenskafans.com branch. If you may not have already known Swansea has a small following in Sweden and it was through the Swedish network Svenskafans that along with Peter Gibson, Anders Persson and Mattias Neander the team have been able to keep Swedish Jacks informed about all matters coming from The Liberty Stadium

The have made the long commute west to Wales this season only to see Swansea draw 0-0 to Brighton on the 29th September 2007.They are planning another trip to Swansea to take in the last home game of the season against Leyton Orient just in time to taste the promotion party.

Here are the thoughts of Pelle ahead the trip to Swansea.

Several points ahead with only six games left to play should mean promotion, despite the losses to Millwall and Northampton,I’m slowly starting to believe it’s true. It’s difficult to talk about just one thing that make Swansea the best team so far this season, but surely one good reason for the succesful season is Roberto Martinez.

Being a former player at the club just some years ago and his young age make it possible for him to be at ‘players level”. Most of the players he {and the club} signed last summer, like De Vries, Bodde and Rangel, turned out to be really good signings and that probably led to even more respect for the Spaniard. Here’s a short list of six other reasons why we’ll play in the CCC next season.

Pelle has been a little vocal about Dutch shot stopper Dorus De Vries and has singled out Garry Monk for some praise as he now outlines.

Dorus De Vries is not capable of saving penalties, he’s still been a wall during most of the games 07/08. This is very essential and the back four can play relaxed without making too many errors. Monk is back and better than ever, playing solid like a rock almost every game. Rangel has solved the earlier problems at right back with bot offensive and defensive skills.

And what of the league’s top goal scorer Jason Scotland and the midfield?

Jason Scotland kicked off goal production right away and scores on a consitant basis. I Should mention Bauza here who’s always working very hard. The three golden boys at midfield, Bodde, Britton and Pratley has been playing well and cover up for one each other during counter attacks and take responsibility at both ends. The wingers Butler, Robbo and Anderson when fit all enjoy being at first place in the league and there’s some good competition for these two places in the start eleven. Orlandi needed some time to settle in and then he got injured. I think he will stay and show us more next season.

But what of the formation Martinez chooses to employ?

The 4-5-1 shows that Swansea can attack from everywhere several players produces goals which is very important. We are now team Swansea and not team Trundle.

Have a safe trip to Swansea and thanks to Pelle.
