Swansea City are at home again tonight hoping to put things right after a dissapointing 2-1 defeat at home to Huddersfield on the weekend.
Despite a lack of consistency recently, Kenny Jackett says he’s not feeling any extra pressure…
”I don’t feel extra pressure,”
”I feel a burning desire and an attitude to try to get this right.
”We need to be up and around the promotion places – that’s where we want to be and where we should be.
”So far, though, we have been inconsistent. We’ve only shown flashes of what we can do in the first 10 league games and we’re looking to be better over the next 10.
”But the games are always big wherever you are.
”If you’re top you want to cement your position, if you’re bottom you want to be climbing up and if you’re where we are, you want to be winning your next two or three to get up to the promotion places.”
Swansea Team News:
Lee Trundle is set to miss out again because of a hamstring injury but Pratley and Amankwaah should be fit after having late fitness tests.
There’s reports though that Akinfenwa and Austin will miss out because of injury.
Player to watch: Leon Knight
Scored again Saturday taking his tally to 6 for the season. He seems to score consistently well even if the side isn’t playing well.
Crewe Team News:
Rodney Jack (abductor) looks certain to miss tonight’s game and defender Jon Otsemobor (thigh) and midfielder Michael O’Connor (knee) are also doubts after picking up injuries in Saturday’s defeat against Yeovil.
Striker Lee Matthews (ankle) looks set to miss the game while Lee Bell (foot) and Tony Grant (Achilles) are still lacking match fitness.
Player to watch: Nicky Maynard
The striker has scored 6 goals in 8 games so far this season and has come through the youth academy at Crewe.
Match Facts & Stats
Crewe are one place below us in 11th place with the same amount of points.
They also suffered a defeat on the weekend, 2-0 away at Yeovil.
Prior to that, they won 3 on the bounce including a 2-0 win in the Carling Cup over Premiership side Wigan.
It should be a close game as both sides have had a similar start to the season.
Both sides suffered defeat on Saturday so I’m predicting a 1-1 draw with either side unable to have the edge to get a win.
