Reports from ideal.es in Spain have suggested Swansea City have raised their offer for Grenada CF striker Gorka Pintado from ?60,000 to ?100,000.

Grenada CF are thought to have rejected this offer and there seems to be a gulf in the two clubs evaluation of the player. Rumours that the striker could move to South Wales have gained in momentum over the last three days and with Martinez on the hunt for two new strikers to add to the Swansea ranks, Pinatado could fit the bill.

Prolific for the Nuevo Los Cármenes based outfit, the striker had scored 18 goals for the Segunda División B club last term. The 30 years old has had vast experience in the Spanish lower divisions and his former clubs include Osasuna B and Leganés. It is this experience that could prove vital to Swansea City’s championship ambitions.

It is also thought that Swansea have improved their remuneration package to lure the highly rated forward from southern Spain. Ideal.es have also claimed that the striker could forgo promotion bonuses to secure a move to the second tier of British football.
