Sky Sports sources say that Swansea City have had a £17m bid rejected for Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani.
The news comes in this evening after the Swans had a record £15m bid agreed for Atletico Madrid striker Borja Baston, who is expected to complete his move after a medical on Wednesday.

The Swans haven’t stopped there with strikers it seems, as they appear to want a third forward with a bid for Slimani. The news comes as an utter surprise, you wonder if there’s any truth in this considering Wednesday’s expected arrival of Borja for £15m.
The 28 year-old Algerian international has netted 56 goals in 107 games for Sporting Lisbon, and has struck 23 goals in 43 games for his country.
After accepting a £12m bid from Everton for captain Ashley Williams, a centre back is the new priority this Summer, and hopefully we’ll hear news that we’ve made a similar serious bid for a quality defender.
