Swansea City have confirmed their pre season plans over the course of the summer as the club look ahead to a challenging season back in the second tier of British football.

Kicking of preparations will be a 7 day training camp in Sweden. Forging links with Östersund FK last summer the club will play a friendly against Karl-Gunnar Björklund’s side. The date of the fixture has yet to be confirmed. Swansea could also take advantage of the hi tech training facilities used for cross country skining in the area.

Swansea will then return to Wales to face Port Talbot at the Remax stadium on the 17th July before leaving for the Spanish leg of the season build up. The tour will start with a mouthwatering friendly against Espanyol on the 24th July, two days later Swansea will face Girona FC at the Estadi Montilivi. The Squad then will return to Palamos to face Tercera División side Palamos CF. Another fixture against a Spanish side is yet to be confirmed but this game could be played on the 25th or 28th July.

Roberto Martinez will then make a return to an old stomping ground as he takes his Championship side to face League Two Chester City at the Deva Stadium which sits on top of the Wales/England border. Swansea then will round off their preparations with a friendly against Dutch outfit ADO Den Haag at the Liberty Stadium on the 5th August. Swansea City have strong links with the newly promoted Eredivise side. It even saw 400+ fans make the long journey from Holland to the Liberty Stadium on the 7th March to see former Den Haag stars Dorus De Vries and Ferrie Bodde play against Millwall.
