Swansea City will pay a £150,000 compensation fee to Wrexham for left back Neil Taylor.

The 21 year-old joined the Swans back in the Summer after his contract at the Racecourse expired. Due to his age, Wrexham were entitled to compensation and after the two clubs initially failed to agree a fee, they settled on £150,000 before today’s professional footballers compensation committee tribunal.

Swansea City will also pay Wrexham 10% of any transfer fee profits produced by the player.

Neil Taylor has slotted in at left back with ease and despite being young and inexperienced, he’s settled in well and I’m sure he’ll develop into a solid Welsh international like fellow team-mate Ashley Williams.
