Swansea City are set to give a trial to Dutch striker John Verhoek.
The 19 year-old will spend time at the club next week, and says he is hopeful of landing a deal with a British club:
|‘I think that English football is for me,’|
‘I am big and strong, but I need to show it in training.
‘I have already spoken with Mark Robins, the manager of Rotherham, and he told me he needs a physical striker.
‘And next week I will try Swansea, and I will give everything I can to earn a deal.’
Verhoek has played in the second tier of Dutch football this season, with FC Dordrecht but failed to score a single goal.
Birmingham showed an interest in the youngster last Summer but he opted to stay in his home country.
He will also spend time with Rotherham on trial.
