Recent reports are suggesting that Swansea City have made a £1.7m bid for Watford’s England international goalkeeper Scott Loach.

Swansea were left with a big problem in between the sticks with arguably one of their most important players Dorus De Vries leaving for fellow Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Swans back up keeper Yves Ma-Kalambay’s contract also due to expire this summer and the Swans will only be left with David Cornell between the posts.

If the Swans do manage to get Loach, they won’t only be getting an England senior and under 21 international goalkeeper, but they will also be getting their second Watford signing of the summer with Danny Graham already completing a record breaking £3.5m move.

Manager Brendan Rodgers has already gone back to one of his former clubs – Watford, he could be going to the other (Reading) with Adam Federici, Matt Mills, Jimmy Kebe and Shane Long being perfect additions to the premier Swans.

In other transfer news the Swans will be hoping to secure the services of Marcos Senna but Villareal are still hoping to tempt the midfielder to sign a new contract. They’ll also be hoping a quick deal will be done for polish goalkeeper Grezgorz Sandomierski who is also wanted by Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus and Inter Milan. Its also been confirmed that the Swans have inquired into the services of goal machine Craig Mackail-Smith.
