Swansea City are also being linked with a move for Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah.

After news emerged this weekend that the Swans were looking at Spanish striker Jonathan Soriano, Vorsah is the latest player to be linked with the newly promoted Premiership club.

According to Deutsche Welle TV, representatives of Swansea City and Vorsah’s club TSG Hoffenheim will meet today to agree a deal.

The 23-year-old was voted the 2007 Defender of the Year in Ghana and he currently plays in the top tier of German football.

In May 2010, News of the World reported that a number of Premier League clubs were targeting him and that he expressed an interest in a move to English League football.

Vorsah’s excellent displays for his club attracted a call up to the Ghana squad and he has made 15 international appearances for his country. He has also played 62 games for Hoffenheim, scoring 3 goals.

Despite his lack of experience, Vorsah would certainly add plenty of ability and squad to Brendan Rodgers’ defence – which will need strengthening this Summer ahead of the new Premiership season, which kicks off on August 13th away at Manchester City.
