Swansea City have been left frustrated yet again as they wait for Vangelis Moras to get international clearance before he can be confirmed as a new signing.

Brendan Rodgers was left frustrated at the end of the Summer transfer window in August when they didn’t receive international clearance to sign Darnel Situ and Rafik Halliche, with FIFA blocking the duos moves as the Swans boss looked for extra defensive cover.

Rodgers says everything has been done their end, with Moras signing a contract, but they’re waiting for the relevant paperwork:

“Everything is agreed, he has signed but we are waiting on the paperwork.

“I find it incredible that it takes so long, people at the club are working tirelessly to find a solution but as yet we have not.

“The only good thing is he (Moras) has looked fitter every day with us and his adaptation to our work has gone well in the last two weeks.

“It`s not ideal but I don`t worry about anything out of my control. But it is frustrating, you want the best players available.

“This is a learning curve for us as we are at a new level, we are working with new players and federations, but as long as we find a solution sooner rather than later that will be the main objective.”
