Swansea City could replace one Jordi with another as Paulo Sousa could make a move for Jordi Lopez, according to reports.

If anything it’s internet message boards that have linked us to the Spanish midfielder, who played 10 games under Sousa at QPR last season.

Lopez began his career in the Barcelona and Real Madrid B squads before joining Sevilla in 2004 where he won the UEFA cup.

He then joined Real Mallorca in 2006 but was released at the end of the 2007/08 season.

He came over to the UK last Summer and had unsuccessful spells with Premiership sides Portsmouth and Blackburn Rovers. In January 2009 he was expected to sign for Birmingham City but failed a medical, he later joined QPR.

Lopez is likely to be a player that Sousa would be interested in bringing to Swansea City as he is unlikely to be offered a new deal at QPR. Wages could be the stumbling block though as we won’t be able to offer anything close to what he was earning at Loftus Road last season.
