van Beukering has teamed up with the squad today and he could get his chance to try and impress new manager Brendan Rodgers on Tuesday evening as we face Llanelli (7:30pm) in another local friendly game.
The 26 year-old managed an impressed 49 goals in 92 appearances with De Graafschap in a three-year spell between 2004/2007. His goalscoring there caught the attention of a number of top Dutch League sides, and NEC signed him in 2007.
He was linked with the Swans last season, but instead he decided to return to former club De Graafschap on loan. He was unable to repeat his goalscoring form, scoring 15 goals in 47 appearances at NEC, and 2 goals in 9 during his second spell at De Graafschap.
