Swansea City have confirmed their first January transfer window signing today with the arrival of PSV winger Luciano Narsingh

Swansea City have confirmed their first January transfer window signing today with the arrival of PSV winger Luciano Narsingh for a fee of £4m.

The 26 year-old right winger signed a two and a half year contract today after passing a medical, but he won`t be available for Saturday`s game at home against Arsenal due to a minor injury.

In a five-year spell at PSV, he made 115 appearances, scoring 21 goals, but the Dutch club have decided to cash in now before his contract expires in the Summer.

Talking about his move to the Official Site, Narsingh said:

“I talked to Leroy before I came here and he told me it is a good club with great team-mates and fantastic supporters,”

“It helped me a lot in making a decision, so it was easy for me to say yes to Swansea.

“I`ve looked at the Premier League for two or three years now, and Swansea always play good football.

“That`s why when Swansea came in for me I knew I wanted to play here.

“This is the best league, and with Swansea playing good football I knew it was a good club for me.

“I`m 26 now and it`s a good age to come to the Premier League. I won two titles in Holland, so it is a great time to come here.”

Narsingh will add some quality to a seriously limited wing position within the team, as the likes of Barrow, Routledge and Montero have all failed to deliver on a consistent basis for many months now.
