Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup says he’s to make two more signings in two different positions to complete his Summer transfer activity.

The 48 year-old is looking to make the finishing touches to his 2012-13 Premier League squad, and that will also mean confirming whether or not he’ll have the likes of first team players Joe Allen, Ashley Williams, Scott Sinclair and Neil Taylor – who are all being linked to bigger Premier League clubs including Liverpool and Manchester United.

Laudrup says he ideally wants two players in each position and to do that he believes he’ll need to bring in two more players, to follow midfielders Jonathan de Guzman, and Michu plus defender Chico to the Liberty Stadium.

According to our latest Site poll, the majority of fans (78%) want to see Laudrup sign a striker, with a centre back and winger equally in second favour at 7% each.

Speaking about his intentions to boost his squad further this month, Laudrup told Wales Online:

“I have two players in mind for two positions, I can`t say more than that right now but at the moment that is my intention.

“If something happens to one of the regular starters like Joe Allen, if he leaves we would need to find a replacement but the best situation for us would be to have two players for each position.”

While Angel Rangel and Neil Taylor own their full back positions, it’ll be interesting to see whether or not he sees the likes of Fede Bessone, Alan Tate and Jazz Richards as strong enough replacements if either suffer an injury or worse – moves on to another club. It wouldn’t be surprising at all if Laudrup was also keen to strengthen his attacking options with Danny Graham the only real common choice for the lone striker role throughout the pre-season friendly matches.

Laudrup has two more players in mind to sign, but he may be forced to even more additions to the squad if the likes of Joe Allen and Neil Taylor leave. Manchester United are being linked with Taylor while Allen is wanted by former boss Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool.

What players and in what positions are you hoping Laudrup signs this month?
