Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez says this season will be Andy Robinson’s best in professional football.

The midfielder grabbed a brace to help Swansea win their first match of the season.

He said:

‘This is going to be Robbo’s best season in professional football,’

‘He is a very mature character and we have given him huge responsibility this season – which he has taken.

‘He’s at an important stage in his career and tactically he has never been better.’

Robinson equalised for the Swans when his shot took a deflection off Darryl Duffy to send the keeper the wrong way.

He netted his second to seal the 3-1 win from the penalty spot as Duffy was brought down from behind.

After a dissapointing season from Andy last season, he looks to be back to his scoring best while Liverpool loanee Paul Anderson is struggling to get a first team place ahead of him.
