Swansea City will step up the hunt for a 4th striker when manager Roberto Martinez and his squad return from the pre season tour of Spain.

Spaniard Gorka Pintado has given his compatriot a new dimension to a forward line that includes last seasons league one’s top goal scorer Jason Scotland and Guillem Bauza who is finding his feet in British football. Scotland should be returning to action after going under the knife in Germany to rectify a muscle strain .

After the departure of Darryl Duffy to Bristol Rovers it still leaves Martinez light of options despite signing West Bromwich Albion youngster Stefan Morrison. It is however thought that the Morrison is firmly one for the future and will play a limited part in the first team next season. One target that has caught the eye of Martinez is Manchester United youngster Fabien Brandy who has been linked with a return to the club, after a partially successful loan spell last term. Hoping that the 19 year old enjoyed his first stint with the club , Martinez is hoping that he can land the youngster for a second time. The Spaniard has already heaped praise on Brandy’s young shoulders after declaring the striker has premier league potential.

Martinez Told The SWEP:

‘Febian knows how we work. He is someone who has developed here and he has Premier League potential. We have got good competition up front with Guillem Bauza and Gorka Pintado, who are very strong, while Jason Scotland will be pushing them soon when he is fully fit. But we do need a fourth striker.’

Tickets for the away game to Charlton Athletic at the Valley have all been sold out as of Saturday morning, the club are not expected to receive any more tickets from the Latics.
