  • A real wake-up call. Our weak midfield was shown up in this game. Britton is still needed as is King, why aren’t we playing him? Mawson wasn’t fully fit, why wasn’t he subbed instead of Van der Hoorn? Maybe now the players will realise we are still in a big hole.

  • I thought Carvalhal’s subs were too risky too soon. I’m all for managers not being like Clement and making earlier subs, but it was too much too soon for me today. He already made a swap on 36 mins. Then took off van der Hoorn and within mins in the second half we big gaps at the back. But ignoring that, we make another change, and another change, and unsurprisingly, we concede twice in 4 mins. We also created 1 shot on target with 6 attacking players on. Carvalhal has got it so right so often so far but unfortunately he got it badly wrong today. Hope it’s a wake up call like you said, and we’re back on it next week.
