Paulo Sousa was happier with his team’s performance tonight and says it’s just a matter of time now before we start winning games.

Swansea City dominated most of the match but we just couldn’t find the net. Nathan Dyer and Stephen Dobbie had our best chances in the second half but Mark Gower had the best of the lot in the first period. He missed a penalty as the goalkeeper dived down to his right to stop the poor spot-kick.

Sousa said:

‘There was only one team playing the football and even with all our problems we did everything to win the match.

‘We made chances especially in the second half and if we keep believing in ourselves, we will soon win matches.

‘Our defence soon settled down and we never gave them any chances but we need to keep the same resolve for our next matches and I know all the players are confident.

‘We have been speaking to a number of players but it is it not easy to bring anyone in who are earning way above the club’s wage scale.

‘We have the money to pay a transfer fee but the wages wanted is making it difficult.’
