Paulo Sousa said yesterday’s 1-0 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest wasn’t a fair result.

His side dominated large periods of the game but yet again we are struggling in front of goal and poor defending gave the opposition the chance to claim all three points.

It was a closely fought match in which we should have picked up at least a point, but with a lack of quality in the final third, we didn’t deserve much from the game.

Sousa said:

‘I don’t think it was a fair result,”

‘Against good quality teams you have to take your chances.

‘Although we started the game very well, we missed a number of goal-scoring opportunities.

‘We made a lot of effort against a well-organised team who came here to play defensively and look for counter-attacks.

‘They wasted a lot of time during the game and I am disappointed for the fans, but we were unable to give them the win we deserved.’
