Paulo Sousa was delighted to see his side win their first ever match at Hillsborough yesterday thanks to Darren Pratley brace.

The former Fulham midfielder opened the scoring for us after just 5 minutes, netting from close range thanks to a good lofted ball through by Gorka Pintado.

He got his second 30 minutes later, Orlandi found Dyer down the left and Pratley fired home from the wingers cross.

Sheffield Wednesday enjoyed a good spell as they looked to respond before the break and Dorus De Vries made a few good saves to keep the scores 2-0 at half time.

Swansea City have been struggling to score goals recently and Sousa was delighted that his team proved yesterday that they have goals in them.

‘Darren has started to understand better and better to pick his moments to attack,’

‘This is what we expect from him, and if he starts to do it more regularly he will not play in the Championship, he will play in the Premier League.

‘It is important to score goals to win games. We are working hard for everyone to be ready to score and it’s what I want to see. Everyone should score.

‘We want to do things our way. We want to be better and better and be competitive and fighting for the three points. We are very consistent but we know we can improve.

‘It is important to win. They started well but we showed the responsibility and the personality I want to see.

‘I am delighted because we know how to score and how to win and I am happy with the three points.’

The Swans go up a place in the table to 5th thanks to yesterday’s victory, and they’ll be hoping for more festive joy on their travels as they visit Reading on Boxing Day.
