Championship side Sheffield Wednesday are reportedly showed an interest in transfer listed left winger Kevin McLeod.

Since Jackett placed him on the transfer list last week, 5 clubs in total have made enquiries including Doncaster and Chester.

Jackett has hinted that he still has a future with the Swans but he must prove his worth to the club and said:

”He is talking to me about sorting his life out, although it’s not as if he has a bad home. He has a very nice young lady and a little ‘un as well.

”It’s about sorting his application out and that’s down to him.

”He says he wants to stay at Swansea and that he values it very much. He admits he has been inconsistent this year, particularly after the storming start he had, and he has identified what he needs to do to get back to his best.

”But what Kevin says is all well and good. Actions speak louder than words and I have said to him that under the present circumstances, I do not accept what he is doing for me.”

Jackett’s former colleague, Ian Holloway told the News of The World that he was right to place him on the transfer list but admitted he had no trouble with McLeod whilst he managed him at QPR.

He said: ”You shouldn’t go out clubbing before a match -even if you are injured. Kevin should know that. There’s no excuse for him.”
