Fisher Athletic starlet Damien Scannell has rejected loan offers from 3 League One clubs, including Swansea City.

Northamton and Nottingham Forest also requested to take the 21 year-old winger on loan but he turned down the offers to stay with the non-league club until January at least.

His agent said: ‘Damien was hugely flattered by the chance to join three such big clubs, but felt it was in his best interests to remain at Fisher until January,’

‘Of course he wants to test himself in the football league and believes he has the ability to establish himself there, but he is prepared to wait to earn himself a permanent move.

‘The fact three such important clubs have come in for him is testament to his pedigree and I have no doubt there will be no shortage of takers when the transfer window reopens.’
