Swansea City have told manager Brendan Rodgers that he must sell some players if he wants to bring in new ones.

The Swans boss is keen to strengthen the squad and is targeting a permanent move for trialist Kemy Agustien, as well as loan moves for Arsenal’s Henri Lansbury and West Ham United striker Frank Nouble.

With at least 3 players on his wanted list, Rodgers must get rid of players before he is able to bring in new recruits. The former Watford and Reading manager is also interested in signing an experienced number 2 goalkeeper and he has also been looking at defenders.

Shaun MacDonald has recently joined Yeovil Town on loan but more will have to leave – temporarily or permanently to allow Rodgers to strengthen. Gorka Pintado and Tom Butler are both injured, but these are two players that fans are often saying should be released. Other players that could be loaned are Jamie Grimes, Daniel Alfei, Scott Donnelly and Casey Thomas who are unlikely to feature in the first team squad.
