Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that he is considering a loan move for Tottenham Hotspur winger Danny Rose, as he still looks to strengthen his squad for the final 8 games of the season.

The Northern Irishman has revealed today that he has spoken with the Premiership outfit about the young winger, and will be in contact again with the While Hart Lane club about a possible loan move.

Rodgers said:

‘I have spoken to the people at Tottenham on Danny Rose,’

‘I had him on loan at Watford and he is an exciting talent. I said to Tottenham that I would speak to them again after the weekend and, if he is one that can freshen up the group, it’s maybe something we will look at.’

Rodgers worked with Rose when he signed him on loan at Watford during the 2008/09 season and he made 7 appearances for the Hornets, scoring no goals.

Rose started his career with Leeds United before joining Spurs for a £1million fee in 2007. He’s only made 1 appearance and scored 1 goal for his club, and he also had loan spells at Bristol City and Peterborough United.
