Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers says things are going ‘perfectly’ after watching his side beat Celtic 2-0 at home in a friendly.

After a goalless first half, Angel Rangel and substitute Stephen Dobbie scored the goals to give us the win and Rodgers was very pleased with his team’s progress:

“We have been looking to build our intensity and it was a great exercise for us against a very strong team who are already under way in the Scottish Premier League.

“When you are at a club like Celtic you want to win every game, friendly or not, and we are no different.

“The group are improving all the time, especially over these last couple of weeks, and by the time the Manchester City game comes around we will be in great shape.

“Things are going perfectly.”

Swansea City are next in action on Saturday as they host Real Betis in a friendly at the Liberty Stadium, kick off is at 3pm with adult tickets priced at £15.
