Sky Sports believe that Brendan Rodgers is targeting a move for Ipswich Town striker Tamas Priskin.

Reports suggest that the new Swansea City has made enquiries to the Tractor Boys and has asked them about his availability.

“I wouldn’t want him, only averages about one in five.”

The Swans struggled for goals last season and what all us fans want to see before the new season starts is a prolific goalscorer, but Priskin has hardly been scoring regularly in recent seasons.

The Hungarian international worked with Rodgers at Watford, but in his 3 years at Vicarage Road he netted just 15 goals in 68 appearances.

His form at Ipswich Town hasn’t improved either, having managed just one goal in 17 games at Portman Road.

Priskin finished last season on loan at QPR which may suggest that manager Roy Keane may decide to allow him to leave the club.

In the season before, he scored against the Swans for Watford in a 2-0 win in February 2009.

Is he a signing that would excite the fans ahead of the new season? Probably not considering his goalscoring form, and would Rodgers be given the money to bring him to the Liberty Stadium?
