Brendan Rodgers says the saga regarding QPR and a possible points deduction is irrelevant to Swansea City.

QPR currently top the Championship with 70 points, 7 ahead of Swansea City, but you could possibly face having points deducted as the FA are going to investigate the Loftus Road club after hitting them with 7 charges, plus they’ll look into the signing of Alejandro Faurlin.

Rodgers said he’d be surprised if QPR were deducted points:

‘I am sure there will be some sort of investigation and a decision before the end of the season,’

‘But for us it’s irrelevant really. We want to finish as high as we possibly can in the league and that’s been our aim all along.

‘We will not look to benefit from anyone else losing points. I don’t know any great detail about what’s going on at QPR, but it’s an interesting one.

‘It will be interesting to see what happens, but I would be surprised if they ended up getting docked points if you look at the Tevez situation. West Ham didn’t lose any points then.’
