Brendan Rodgers says his time will go into tomorrow night’s game at home to Watford with ‘good attitude’, despite losing at Scunthorpe United on Saturday.

The Swansea City manager took some positives from the performance at Glanford Park at the weekend, but he also showed disappointment at his side not taking the chances they created.

Luckily for the Swans, results went our way on Saturday which means we stay 2nd, but it’s vital for us to get back to winning ways against Rodgers’ former club Watford at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night.

Rodgers told BBC Sport:

‘We’ve no time to dwell, the next game comes round very quickly,’

‘We’re refocused and concentrating on that now [playing Watford] and we’ll arrive at the game with a good attitude.’

‘You’ve got to be please because we opened the door on Saturday for one or two teams to jump ahead and they didn’t take that opportunity.

But it’s not something we want to do too often if you want to arrive where you want to be – in the top two – then you’ve got to win games.

‘Until it’s mathematically impossible every team is going to fight to get the highest position they can.

‘What’s we’ve got to make sure is that we’re in the race and obviously at the minute we’re well in the race.’
