Brendan Rodgers says Tuesday’s 3-0 win at home to Barnet has helped boost his team’s confidence for tomorrow’s home game against Preston North End.

Swansea City made a disappointing start to the season last weekend when they lost 2-0 at Hull City and they’ll be looking to put things right on Saturday when they host Preston North End at the Liberty Stadium.

Rodgers says every game at this level is difficult, and tomorrow will be no different:

‘We’re really excited about the game,’

‘The Liberty is a wonderful arena to play football in and we want to make the home ground a fortress this year.

‘That’s important and we want to get the win as early as we can.’

‘Every game is difficult at this level and Saturday will be no different,’ he added.

‘It probably wasn’t the ideal start last week at Hull, but we had a good win in the week in the cup and that breeds confidence.

‘We’ll take that confidence into the game and look for another good performance.’
