Sky Sports today report that Rayo Vallecano have confirmed to them that they have accepted a bid from Swansea City for Michu.

While Rayoherald.com reported yesterday that the bid was rejected, it appears that the La Liga outfit have actually accepted Swansea’s offer as they look to raise some much needed cash to ease their financial troubles.

Sky Sports believe the bid is worth £1.5m while other sources suggest its probably closer to £2m, but anything around that figure would be an absolute bargain for the highest goalscoring midfielder in La Liga last season.

Swansea City would pull off a big coup if they managed to capture the signing of Michu as he is attracting the interest of a number of top flight clubs including Manchester United and Liverpool, as well as Sevilla.

A spokesperson said:

‘Now Michu is negotiating with Swansea,’

Can the Swans attract Michu to agreeing and signing personal terms at the Liberty Stadium? Manager Michael Laudrup could prove to be the influential factor in this potential deal as he apparently has a good relationship with the player’s agency. Recent news also says that the player is expected to sign a three year deal the Liberty Stadium.
