Angel Rangel said the Swans dominated yesterday’s derby game against Cardiff City, as Marvin Emnes scored in the 75th minute to give us a win against our arch rivals.

The Spaniard full back also spoke about Craig Bellamy, who he was mainly marking for the game and he was happy to keep Cardiff’s dangerman quiet throughout.
‘He was probably the toughest player I’ve had to play against during my career.
‘I had to deal with him 100 per cent in every ball and luckily it worked out and we were able to keep him quiet.
‘Everybody knows he’s a big threat for them ? but in the end we showed big character overall which in these types of games is important.
‘I think the spirit of the team, with the fans behind us the whole game, played a big part.’
‘I think we dominated the game,’
‘It’s a derby, you have to know how to play. We knew what to do – just control the ball and we knew that our chances would come.
‘In the second-half the pace was better; we played the ball quicker and got the result.’
Rangel made a big claim before the game about the Swans squad being stronger than Cardiff’s. He was proved right on the day as Rodgers set up his side well while our rivals struggled with the absence of their main man Jay Bothroyd. Continuous long, high balls up to Keogh just didn’t work while the Swans remained patient in their play and maintained possession well.
